The Let’s Visit our Seniors Challenge is intended to raise awareness among families and the public and to encourage them to take action against isolation amongst seniors by sharing the importance of visiting! It is also intended to celebrate our seniors by promoting “happy visits” and by offering them quality company each year from June 1st to 30th.

How to participate? 4 options!

  2. Leave a comment on the Facebook page of En bonne compagnie, which describes the activity of compassionate care amongst one or many seniors.

Let's Celebrate our Seniors: It's everyone's business!

One of our objectives is to introduce a solidarity movement within the Haut-Saint-Laurent community with this challenge and an awareness campaign regarding the compassionate care of seniors.

Municipal, institutional, private, community, school, and paramunicipal sectors – as well as families are all encouraged to involve seniors in an original activity during visits.

A Word from the Spokesperson for the Let's Visit our Seniors! Challenge

Hi,

I am André Bienvenue, author and conference man. I write my scripts with a lot of humour on facts of life mainly on positive attitudes to grow old happily. I believe that one must give back to life a part of what he received so generously. Voluntary work and positive actions help being happy and make others happy.

As the spokesman of the challenge ≪Let’s Celebrate our Seniors≫ I am overwhelmed with this idea as it is exactly what I shared in my conferences all my life. Imagine just one moment what would be a flower without petal, a sky without sun…

As years when by, I discovered the richness and the happiness of sharing through voluntary work. I am so convinced that if I could find the little word that would set your heart on fire, I would create it right now.

I encourage you all, who ever you are to go towards others. You, young people, go and share the freshness of your young age with the faded one of the elders who were young like you one day. How happy moments these visits have in store for you!

Try it and find out for yourself!

Sometimes a simple encounter creates precious ties for life.

Voluntarily yours,

André Bienvenue
